They Saw Her Blindness. She Showed Them Her Potential.
15 schools rejected Aeny because of what she couldn’t see. They failed to see everything she could.
Today, Aeny plays the piano, practises karate, speaks three languages and has presented her own science project at an All India STEM exhibition. Living with blindness caused by Leber’s Congenital Amaurosis, she continues to learn, create and explore the world on her own terms.
Her blindness was never the limit. The real limits were in the minds of those who couldn’t imagine what was possible. Aeny’s journey is a powerful reminder that inclusive education is not about lowering expectations. It is about giving every child the opportunity to reach them.
