With 22 Scheduled Languages and 700+ dialects, building AI that truly understands India means accounting for far more than English.
That’s what BharatGen, led by Prof Ganesh Ramakrishnan, is working toward: building foundational AI around India’s linguistic diversity.
But the ambition goes beyond language: it’s truly about ensuring Indians aren’t just using AI, but building and shaping it.
For his contribution to making AI work for everyone, Prof Ramakrishnan has been named a Goalkeepers Champion.
