Aurangabad youth wows Bill Gates
#thebetterindia
When Yogesh Gawande’s brother fell ill from pesticide poisoning, this young engineer from Aurangabad knew he had to act.
Starting with scrap parts, he built an affordable, ground-level sprayer for farmers. That one idea became NIYO Farm-Tech—now a ₹4.3 crore solar-powered startup empowering 12,000+ farmers in 14 states.
With over 5,000 units sold and 100+ jobs created, Yogesh’s innovation caught the eye of none other than Bill Gates, who praised its impact firsthand.
From rural fields to global attention, this is the power of grassroots innovation!
