Beyond the Medal: From Aspirations to Achievements | CWG Glasgow 2026
Behind every medal is a dream. And behind every dream, there are people who believe in it.
For Jhandu Kumar, Sharmila Dhankar and Dilip Mahadu Gavit, that belief came from family, coaches and mentors who helped them keep moving towards what they wanted for themselves.
At Glasgow 2026, seven Indian para-athletes turned those aspirations into medals — carrying with them the belief of everyone who helped them get there.
It’s a reflection of the “Apne Liye, Apno Ke Liye” philosophy — that what we pursue for ourselves can also mean something to the people who stand beside us.
